Jim Casler has provided consulting services in the areas of strategic, financial and organizational analysis and planning since 1989. Jim loves to help improve the financial success of farms and family businesses by analyzing operations, listening to stakeholders and helping business owners and senior management implement strategies to improve financial performance, facilitate succession planning and analyze real estate investments.  

• Jim earned a bachelor degree in Finance from Eastern Michigan University and an Agribusiness Management degree from Colorado State University. Jim is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of Michigan.

• Prior to consulting with family business owners, Jim owned and operated a residential mortgage lending firm for 18 years and a real estate property management firm in Michigan and Mississippi.

• The last 10 years Jim has served as CFO of a commercial farm in central Michigan, Controller of a commercial farm in SW Michigan and Board Member of an agricultural service provider.

Jim serves select clients throughout the United States. Jim is married, two adult children, lives in NW Michigan and owns a 100% grass-fed, registered Dexter cattle beef operation, The North Coast Ranch,
